"Had a superb morning (June 2008) 9 holes followed by the best pork sandwich ever, then 18 holes in the afternoon. Holes have character and unique challenges, this is a gem of a course, do play! In case you think im biased I live 150 miles away in Hertfordshire. well done all involved."

"A short note to thank you very much for allowing us to play at your course on Sunday 20th May against Shropshire and Herefordshire. The condition of the course was a credit to you. The catering, as it always is, was excellent, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the day. We look forward until the next time."

"On behalf of the Ladies County Golf Assoc, I should like to extend our sincere thanks to you, the Lady Captain and the many people of Little lakes who assisted in making the above competition a success. Please pass on our gratitude to your committee for granting courtesy of the course and to your Professional, Green Keeper and caterer for the extra attention they gave to us. Many thanks once again, it was a pleasure to visit Little Lakes"

"very nice course but its hard for the first time well it was for me so you really have to come more than once to get the hang of it"

"I played Little Lakes for the first time on 27/07/05 and can only assume that Garry Gordon must have had a particlarly bad day. Admittedly there are one or two steep inclines to overcome but the course in general was a delight to play. I particularly enjoyed holes 3, 6, 10, and 14. AS a 21 handicapper the course is a little tight in places but the course on a whole was in excellent condition. With the work that is taking place I can only imagine a bright future for this course and would have no hestitation in returning there in the near future"

"Wet & Muddy put my game to the hardest test yet - having had 4 lessons and two rounds of golf prior to playing here, my performance improved. The ups and downs made it more difficult to tell how far it was accross some big ditches. Very beautiful even in the rain - just wish I had bought golf shoes before for a little more grip - will be back in the dry, if the English summer will show a little sunshine."

"Have played Little Lakes quite a few times now and until recently enjoyed experience. Course is still a test but what a shame about the time it took us to get round on the Saturday we played. It took us 5 hours plus as we struggled behind a Society. This must drive members potty. the last day we came was the same story. Greens have become sluggish and can only assume growth on top is because of an idle greenkeeper or kept this way to attract Society days, to limit damage. The bunkers have also not been looked after and the 17th clearly exhibits the lack of sand. Some of the membrane used underneath the sand was popping out and all bunkers we played had not been raked. Nevertheless the day was somewhat enjoyable as the food is still magnificent "

"This course is magnificent but is let down by a couple of silly holes.the views you recieve from the 10th hole when you look down are superb and you do not know how big this course actualy is until you have stood and admired for yourself.the holes are very hard to judge with some being long and straight and others being shaped in a way that the first time you play there you have no idea where the green is which can be difficult when you try to judge your distances.some holes on this course are also very tight like the 1st and 2nd on which you need to look out for stray balls as we found out when there was a society teeing off behind us, but apart from this it was good value for money with friendly people and with a joining fee which includes the use off a swimming pool and a sister course i would recomend it."

"Have played little lakes now 3 times, twice in annual club open. I have thoroughly enjoyed each time I played, the course was in superb condition and weaknesses in my game were soon apparent. Members and staff at little lakes are very welcoming, and I soon felt like a honorary member myself. I am thoroughly looking forward to this years open. Hope to see you there"

"On a rough and windy rainy day, and not having played for six months I found GaudetLuce quite a handful. Some of the holes are undergoing change with new tees and the 18th a new green so prospects of the course improving are high. I look forward to visiting the course again when my game is better and the weather more temperate"

"Haven't played the course for a while so didn't know what to expect of the new holes, certainly have made to course harder. Cheers"

"Down for the week visiting family so needed a game of golf, we were recommended Gaudet-Luce by a friend. Must of been the hottest day of the year so fairways where dry, but hats off to your Green Keepers as your greens were excellent. Thank you for a great days golf"
